Paws & Manes helps empathetic guardians of dogs and/or horses find out how to communicate and train with their animals in a loving, very effective way. To optimize their welfare in the human world. My mission is to make positive reinforcement the standard in (companion) animal training, instead of harsh traditional methods.Ā

Oh, Hi!
I'm Nina
Aspiring to be more than just a trainer, Iām a learnaholic, a bit of a nerd when it comes to all things related to our four-legged companions!
I feel like it’s my calling to help people and their animals find their true harmony. That’s why I’m currently studying to become an expert in equine behavior at ClickerAcademie in the Netherlands. When I graduate, I’m determined to become an accredited dog behavior expert too.
My love for animals started at a very young age, horses in particular. I always felt very drawn to them. In 2017, I got my best friend. Inshallah, Ins for short. After years of struggling, I found out about force-free clicker training, which completely transformed our bond. It feels like we can read each others mind! He is the most chill, kind, funny, smart horse I’ve ever known.
Fast forward to 2022: we got a puppy! Her name is Isa, and I love her endlessly. But, as with Ins, we struggled a lot. Whereas Ins was a very angry, frustrated horse, Isa is anxious and therefore reactive and struggling with seperation anxiety. However, she’s so smart, funny and incredibly sweet at heart!
My knowledge of behavior and well-being is entirely thanks to them. Even though it was rough, I’m forever grateful to be at a place where I can help people transform their best friends’ lives.

Isa
She’s a 2-year-old, medium-height dog and a mix of two breeds. Her mom is a Boerenfox, a Dutch breed. Her dad an Appenzeller Sennen dog!
About
Ins
He’s a 10-year-old KWPN, bred for the dressage sport. But that is no horse’s dream. He lives in a beautiful Equi-Habitat full of enrichment with 6 herd mates.
